Types of Fundraisers
There are many different types of fundraisers available to groups. We'll cover some of the most popular types of fundraisers used by schools, sport groups, church groups, and daycares.
Brochure Programs
Brochure programs, also known as order takers, are no money upfront types of fundraisers where the school, or group, takes orders from supporters ahead of time. Orders are then totaled and tallied and product is delivered to the group. The group then distributes the product to the group members who, in turn, distribute the product to the supporters.
Wow Fundraising makes brochure programs easy to run by providing the school or group with brochures, order takers, and collection envelopes. Services such as prepack, sale reports, total and tallying are also available.
Direct Sale Products
Direct sale products are used as types of fundraisers that sell product directly to the supporters. There is no need to take orders and deliver product later, it is all done on the spot. Direct sale products usually sell for around $1.00 and on average generate 50% profit. The lower sell point means more product must be sold to generate some of the higher profits some schools and groups may seek. Some of the highest profit types of fundraisers, however, are direct sale items such as the Dinner and a Movie Card. With the Dinner and a Movie Card, groups will raise $7.00, which is 70% profit, from each card sold!
Donation Programs
Donation programs are types of fundraisers that generate huge profits as long as a group doesn't mind asking for donations. Typically, groups that use donation programs use materials to help them request funds from supporters; such as scratch cards and coupon sheets. Wow Fundraising offers scratch cards with coupon sheets for supporters to request donations with. The scratch cards provide your supporters with a fun activity to do to determine the amount of donation. Each supporter with then receive a coupon sheet valued at $150 in savings as a "Thank You"! Every scratch card will raise $85 in profit.
